This glowing golden turmeric oatmeal makes a perfect start to your day, thanks to turmeric's numerous health and nutritional benefits! Turmeric has been a well known natural remedy and supplement for centuries in Arabic and South Asian cultures, as well as across the world. The Latin names for turmeric and its active ingredient, curcumin, come from the Arabic word كركم (Kurkum).
Turmeric has been proven to aid in digestion and provide anti-inflammatory properties. It also has benefits as an antioxidant and some studies have suggested it can even increase the antioxidant capacity of the body. New studies demonstrate turmeric has been correlated with boosting mood and enhancing emotional well-being due to raising serotonin and dopamine levels, possibly lowering depression and anxiety.
Not only is this oatmeal amazingly good for you in so many ways, it is absolutely delicious! The fragrant spices make this a warm, comforting breakfast, and it is even better topped with fresh fruits and maple syrup!

Hi !
Can you use a different oil than coconut oil here?
Thanks
Yes! Any neutral flavored oil is fine or you can simply leave it out 🙂
Love this recipe! Thanks for sharing it. My husband has a special oatmeal recipe he makes nearly every morning, but I surprised him with this nice alternative today. Success!
(Made one substitution, cashew milk instead of almond milk, which worked out fine.)
That's so awesome to hear, thank you for sharing, Jocelyn! I'm so glad you both loved it 🙂
Delicious!! I was feeling under the weather this morning and this totally hit the spot. Thank you!!
I mixed up the ingredients with boiled water. Left out ginger, coconut oil and almond milk (didn't have them on hand). Stirred in a table spoon of plain Greek Yoghurt. Quite Yumo!
This was sooo good!! I used crystallized ginger. I really had my doubts as turmeric on its own is not my favorite - but this was wonderful!
One drawback - the floating ads. First they covered the ingredients then they covered the directions. Necessary evil to have ads, but perhaps not floating.
In any case, this ones a keeper!
Wow, is this delicious. I added dried cranberries just because I usually put them in oatmeal. The spices and vanilla make it special on a cold morning.
So glad you loved it! Thank you for trying my recipe and sharing your experience 🙂
