This orange blossom iced latte is inspired by Moroccan coffee with a modern twist. I'll show you how to make a foamy iced oat milk latte, flavored with orange blossom and cinnamon, along with tips to customize it the way you like.
Moroccan coffee is a coffee brewed with cinnamon and other fragrant spices. It is common to add orange blossom water and milk and enjoy it after a meal. I love using oat milk in this recipe, for a non-dairy alternative that is just as creamy and foams perfectly. Inspired by Moroccan coffee, this iced orange blossom latte is one of my favorite caffeinated beverages to enjoy year-round.
Orange blossom is a flavor well known to Arab cuisine, often used in dessert and breakfast recipes, such as "riz bi haleeb" (Middle Eastern rice pudding) and vegan kunafa (a dessert consisting of shredded phyllo dough and a cheesy vegan filling.) This latte would go well with any one of my vegan breakfast recipes, such as my raspberry & cream french toast or avocado pita with spiced chickpeas, to name some of my favorites.
Ingredients
You only need 5 simple ingredients to make this elegant iced oat latte!
- Oat milk: I love using oat milk because it's a creamy non-dairy milk that froths well. I usually use Chobani or Trader Joe's brand, and I recommend any brand that is creamy (not low fat or low sugar).
- Espresso: You can brew a single or double shot of espresso, depending on how strong you want your latte to be.
- Agave: This is optional, but I like to add just a little bit to bring out the orange blossom flavor more and add some sweetness.
- Orange blossom water: This is the star of the orange blossom latte!
- Cinnamon: Cinnamon pairs perfectly with orange blossom, and they are often used together in Middle Eastern cuisine.

Instructions
The process to make this orange blossom latte is simple and straightforward.
Froth the oat milk at an angle.
Pour the brewed espresso over the iced oat milk foam.
We will start out by brewing the espresso. While it cools, we will add the cinnamon and orange blossom water to the oat milk before frothing it. Add ice to the foamy oat milk, pour the cooled espresso over the iced milk, and enjoy!
Hint: Adding a few ice cubes to the espresso right after brewing helps it cool down quickly! Frothing the oat milk at an angle prevents it from getting too foamy.
Substitutions
Here are some substitutions you can make for this orange blossom latte, if you wish.
- Oat milk - instead of oat milk, you can use soy or cashew milk! I recommend either of these non-dairy alternatives because they will still foam well.
- Espresso - if you don't have an espresso machine, you can brew a strong cup of coffee.
- Agave - you can use simple syrup instead of agave, or even stevia or another sweetener of your choice.
Variations
In addition to the substitutions above, try these orange blossom coffee variations when you want a change.
- Traditional Moroccan spices - To make this latte more like Moroccan coffee, you can brew the espresso with cloves, black pepper, ginger, nutmeg, and cardamom, in addition to the cinnamon. I would use ⅛ teaspoon of each spice, except for the clove and cardamom (you only need a pinch).
- Hot - Omit the ice and have a hot latte on colder days, or when you're feeling cozy.
Equipment
You will need a handheld milk frother, as well as an espresso machine to make this iced oat latte. I got both of mine from Amazon, as they have affordable options.
I recommend this De'Longhi espresso machine and I use this milk frother.
Top tip for making an iced oat milk latte
Make sure not to froth your milk for so long that it all turns to foam! It will still be delicious, but if you still want some creaminess, keep an eye on the oat milk while frothing.
